Jews in Canada and the US are protesting real estate events and say Israel is selling Real Estate that they’ve stolen from Palestinians in synagogues across the world. The Israeli  events in Canada and the US is also facing major backlash from community residents as well as pro-Palestinian activists over the advertisement of properties located in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, which is not only immoral but also deemed illegal under international law.

However, Israel differentiates between settlements and settler outposts, the latter of which it deems illegal under its own laws. In addition to the event being held amid Israel’s war in Gaza, in which Israeli forces have killed more than 30,000 Palestinians, the event takes place amid a period of rising Israeli settler violence against Palestinians. “Great Israeli Real Estate Event”

The event, titled the “Great Israeli Real Estate Event”, took place in Montreal on Tuesday evening, and there will be upcoming events in Toronto, New Jersey, and New York this month. The event’s website advertises properties located in several Israeli cities. It also lists the following Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank: Neve Daniel, Efrat, Ma’ale Adumim.

The Jewish Link, a Jewish newspaper from the American northeast region, reported that individuals can register for the events at the website for the company, My Home in Israel.

My Home in Israel lists properties for sale in several areas of the occupied West Bank, including in East Jerusalem. According to the company’s website, the property for sale in occupied East Jerusalem will be available for sale at the exhibition in Teaneck, which will be located at the Congregation Keter Torah synagogue.

The upcoming event in Teaneck was met with outrage from the local community, including from Palestinian, Muslim, and Jewish residents.

The sales events marketing luxury apartments in areas where people are still being bombed, starved, maimed and orphaned is are already distasteful in the extreme, but the Jewish link is marketing these properties as a wise decision due to looming uncertainty in the world and “antisemitism” showing it’s “ugly face”

The Jewish Link also wrote: “Gidon Katz, a seasoned veteran in marketing Israeli properties to the global Jewish community for nearly thirty years, highlights an exceptional investment opportunity. According to Katz, financial experts from leading banks have recently forecasted a significant uptick in Israel’s real estate prices over the next six to nine months. “This bullish outlook is largely attributed to the expected end of the war, iy”H, and a forthcoming reduction in interest rates, signaling a robust period for potential investors in the Israeli property market.”

Concerns in New Jersey

Teaneck’s Muslim and Jewish communities have both expressed concern with the sale taking place in their township,” according to Dina Sayedahmed, communications manager for the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ New Jersey chapter, said in a statement.

Rich Siegel, a Jewish resident of Teaneck, raised concerns over the real estate event during a township meeting last week, noting the settlement properties and said that if the event were to continue, he would help lead protests against it.

Rich Seigel is a former zionist who worked as a hotel pianist in Tel Aviv, completely unaware of what Israel was doing to the Palestinians.

Then he heard about Deir Yassin & all the other massacres & abandoned zionism. He sits on the board of Deir Yassin remembrance foundation.

Rich Siegel spoke of his concerns for the upcoming Israeli real estate sales even in the Teaneck Keter Torah synagogue.

“Hi my name is Rich Siegel, I’m a 25 year homeowner here in Teaneck. I’m Jewish. The reason that i’m telling you that I’m Jewish is because I have a concern about something that’s going on in the Jewish community. On March 10th, there is a scheduled to be an Israeli real estate sales event at the Keter Torah synagogue.

That event violates both domestic law and international law. It violates domestic law because we had a Civil Rights Act in 1965 and Fair Housing Act in 1968. We don’t allow real estate events to be for whites only or Jews only….for anybody only. Now, as Jews, we don’t get to fly under the radar and break the law and hide it in the synagogue. It violates international law because West Bank settlement homes are going to be available for sale at this real estate even. On the website, it lists three different West Bank settlements.

Those settlements are in and of themselves illegal by international law. If we allow this sale to go through, we are enabling a local synagogue to violate both domestic anti-discrimination laws and international law. Now, there’s other reasons we shouldn’t allow it, okay. There’s a genocide going on right now.

I don’t care who that offends. More than 35,000 people have been killed, mote than 13,000 children have been killed. People are in deep mourning. People in this community aer angry. I’m angry. What this real estate is going to do is it’s going to fan the flames.”

Ontario Canada

A real estate sales event was held in Ontario and was hosted by “Homes in Israel” which is operated by Keller Williams who featured a man on its Facebook page and thanked him for defending a real estate show selling the stolen Palestinian land.

Rabbi David Mivasair from Ontario was one of those protester as he also had concerns and was recorded as saying: “I’m an active member of Independent Jewish Voices Canada and i’m here today outside a synagogue where they’re selling properties built on land stolen from Palestinians.

There’s a real estate agency that’s come here today to Toronto to sell properties built on stolen Palestinian land. It’s kind of unbelievable that Canada permits this. It’s clearly illegal. So we’re here today to call that out and God willing to make it stop.”

My Home Israel the real estate company that is promoting the sales and events overseas, said in an article featuring the Israel Builders Association hosts the Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations conference: “According to President of the Israel Builders Association Raul Sarugo, “All our guests from overseas are interested in investing in Israeli real estate in all segments of the industry: income yielding real estate, commercial, logistical centers, residential hotels, and assisted living facilities. There was a group from Uruguay that showed interest in investing in Tama 38 projects in Herzliya.

“During the conference, the participants also discussed the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war, both current and in the future, on the real estate industry.“

“The war will end at some time,” said Sarugo, “and Ukraine will have to be rebuilt. It will be a global challenge and there is no doubt that the Israel Builders Association will be actively involved in the rehabilitation of Ukraine, through technological and logistical means, and with the recycling of materials. The destruction is enormous and as a result, there are huge amounts of rubble. They will need Israeli companies who know how to separate materials and recycle them for use as building materials.”

“Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinians in the West Bank on 200 occasions. “We have been mobilising our communities en masse to protest against a foreign group’s alleged illegal looting and selling of Palestinian territory,” Wassim Kanaan, chairperson of the New Jersey chapter of American Muslims for Palestine, said in a statement.”

While we are watching Israel commit genocide in Gaza and pillage Palestinians homes in the West Bank and Jerusalem which are both stark violations of international law, we are also watching the blatant disregard for any law, natural, humanitarian or legal in a vulgar, soulless display of pure greed.
