Will BRICS Change The World?

Iran and Saudi Arabia were among six countries invited on Thursday to join the BRICS bloc of developing economies in a move that showed signs of strengthening a China-Russia coalition as tensions with the West spiral higher. The United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Egypt, and Ethiopia were also set to enter BRICS from Jan. 1, 2024, joining current members Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa to make an 11-nation bloc. Will their increased power allow them to change the world as we know it?

The addition of these six oil-producing countries to the BRICS is significant because it gives the bloc a major voice in global energy markets. The BRICS countries account for over 40% of the world’s oil production and over 30% of the world’s oil consumption. This gives them a significant amount of power to influence the price of oil and the global economy.

The announcement came after two days of talks Aug. 22-24 at a summit in Johannesburg involving Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in the discussions virtually.

Brazil’s President, Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, confirmed the development at this week’s BRICS Summit. Additionally, the bloc announced its agreement to expand. Changing the geopolitical landscape, the alliance is set to welcome the six additional countries by 2024.

BRICS

The acronym BRIC, was coined in 2001 by then Goldman Sachs chief economist Jim O’Neill in a research paper that underlined the growth potential of Brazil, Russia, India, and China. The bloc was founded as an informal club in 2009 to provide a platform for its members to challenge a world order dominated by the United States and its Western allies. Its creation was initiated by Russia.

The heads of state and government of the member nations convene annually with each nation taking up a one-year rotating chairmanship of the group.

Brazil, Russia, India, and China are the founding members. South Africa, the smallest member in terms of economic clout and population, was the first beneficiary of an expansion of the bloc in 2010 when the grouping became known as BRICS.

Over 40 countries including Iran, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Algeria, Bolivia, Indonesia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Comoros, Gabon, and Kazakhstan had expressed interest in joining the forum, according to 2023 summit chair South Africa. Together the countries account for more than 40% of the world population and a quarter of the global economy.

Of them, nearly two dozen have formally asked to be admitted.”The objective necessity for a grouping like BRICS has never been larger,” said Rob Davies, South Africa’s former trade minister, who helped usher his country into the bloc in 2010. (source).

They view BRICS as an alternative to global bodies viewed as dominated by the traditional Western powers and hope membership will unlock benefits including development finance, and increased trade and investment. Dissatisfaction with the global order among developing nations has exacerbated over the last few years (source).

De-Dollarisation

“There is a risk when we use financial sanctions that are linked to the role of the dollar that over time it could undermine the hegemony of the dollar” – Janet Yellen, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

The Russian president took the opportunity to slam “illegitimate sanctions” — laid down by the U.S. and other Western economic powers in response to the Ukraine situation. The “unlawful freezing of sovereign states’ assets,” he said, “seriously weighs on the international economic situation.”

Numerous countries within BRICS have openly voiced their concerns about the dollar’s weaponization and many are now opting to use local currencies for trade as a countermeasure. According to Brazil’s president, the BRICS economic alliance is officially set to abandon the US dollar for trade settlements. Moreover, the development aligns with recent de-dollarization efforts embraced by the bloc. (source).

BRICS kick-started the de-dollarisation efforts by settling oil and gas trade with local currencies and not the U.S. dollar. With six of the world’s nine biggest oil producers the BRICS members as of the the 1st of January, 2024, the demand for dollars will massively decline as BRICS will no longer require dollars to settle trade in oil.

The U.S. dollar has reigned supreme over the global economy for close to a century, but efforts to dethrone it are “gaining momentum,” says Russian president Vladimir Putin, and called the dollar’s drop in dominance “objective and irreversible,” in an address at the 15th BRICS Summit on Tuesday.

He also said the five BRICS members — Russia, China, India, Brazil and South Africa — which are home to more than 40% of the world’s population, are growing into global economic superpowers that could rival (and maybe even overtake) the G-7.According to the World Bank,

BRICS members’ share of global GDP grew from 18% in 2010 to 26% in 2021, with increases in all years during that period. China is leading the way, with over 70% of BRICS GDP in 2021.

Putin claims that over the past decade, mutual investments and transactions between BRICS countries have increased sixfold — thanks partly to BRICS members’ mutual respect for each other’s interests.

The United Nations BRICS Investment Report 2023 states that BRICS economies represent 18% of global exports, with their share continuing to increase, while the growth rate of intra-BRICS exports also exceeds the global average.

When addressing bloc leaders in South Africa, Putin asked for continued collaboration between BRICS members: “During this summit, we shall discuss in detail the entire range of issues related to the transition to national currencies in all areas of economic co-operation between our five nations.”

Trades in local currencies

In an effort to reduce transaction costs, limit their exposure to global volatility and geopolitical risks, and boost their local economies, members of BRICS and their allies have begun settling trades in their local currencies instead of the U.S. dollar.

Just last week, India announced that its leading petroleum refiner, Indian Oil Corp., used the local rupee to buy one million barrels of oil from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company — as part of a bilateral trading agreement between the two countries.

Despite more of these no-dollar transactions taking place with the assistance of the BRICS New Development Bank, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen still believes that no currency currently exists that could displace the greenback.

The dollar’s dominance in global trade and capital flows dates back at least 80 years — not just because the U.S. is the world’s largest economy, but also because oil and other essential commodities are priced in the dollar.

“We should expect over time a gradually increased share of other assets in reserve holdings of countries — a natural desire to diversify,” said Yellen. “But the dollar is far and away the dominant reserve asset.” (source)

Change For The Better

The news of the BRICS expansion has pleased many people and are happy that the U.S. hegemonic position may soon be over. The U.S. has enjoyed a “hegemonic “currency privilege” that they have used to exploit the world through financial schemes, resulting in “poverty, war, and large-scale underdevelopment.” It is hoped that when BRICS nations are in control over the most essential resources this would be “broadly done” and will respect the sovereignty of the countries involved.

Additionally it is thought that as the BRICS membership has nearly 4 billion people, they will be in a position to be the “number one peace organization on the entire planet,” according to researcher Rev Laskaris, who continues, “The BRICS alliance is getting bigger and bigger because it does not demand or pressure countries to stay underdeveloped or surrender resources over to any country for the sole purpose of financial gain. Rather, BRICS instead calls for fair win-win negotiation and deals to mutually develop in unison.”

“In terms of resources, the reality is much more obvious… 6 of the 10 largest oil producers in the world have already joined BRICS, and many more in the top 25 have shown great interest in joining in the future.”

When it comes to steel production, 5/10 largest producers of steel in the world are members of BRICS, including both 1 and 2 (China and India). Even when it comes to Phosphate, which is one of the most essential resources on Earth, primarily because of its role in agriculture, is produced the most by 5/10 countries who are members of BRICS, including number 1 (China).”

Amazing uncritically-communicative article. Just like a Pravda, Izvestiya, or Tass, which are…the russian New York Times, WP, CNN, etc. Congratulations.

In the context of the unstoppable Western move that is going on, but has not yet come to tyranny, when you think about real human rights, freedom of speech, real democracy, a decent life, respect for the individual etc., do you not think first of China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Algeria, Bolivia, Indonesia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Comoros, Gabon, and Kazakhstan? Of course yes.

Vladimir Putin made a video address to guests and participants in the BRICS Business Forum, which is traditionally held ahead of the BRICS summit. August 22, 2023

I would like to note that holding such business forums on a regular basis, along with the systemic work of the BRICS Business Council, which brings together top businessmen and heads of major companies of the five countries, plays an immense practical role in promoting mutual trade and investments, enhancing cooperation ties and expanding direct dialogue among the business communities – and thus effectively contributes to accelerated socio-economic growth of our states and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

It is equally important to continue developing cooperation within BRICS in terms of decarbonizing the economy, reducing human impact on nature and adapting to the changing climate. Russia is ready to work jointly to promote more balanced approaches to the climate change in the international arena.

Our country is consistently implementing the National Low-Carbon Development Strategy. We plan to reach carbon neutrality of the Russian economy not later than 2060, including through the introduction of technological innovations, modernization of infrastructure for access to affordable and clean energy, conservation of ecosystems on land and sea. We understand that the implementation of the climate goals can be facilitated by a variety of technologies, including those that have been in use for a long time already, such as nuclear generation, hydropower and gas motor fuel.

To sum it up, I would like to reiterate that the multifaceted partnership and cooperation within the BRICS not only makes a significant contribution to ensuring the sustainable growth of our states but also generally promotes global economic recovery and successful achievement of global development goals and targets set by the United Nations – to fight poverty, expand people’s access to quality healthcare, eradicate hunger and improve food security.

BRICS change the world.

Meeting in the BRICS Plus/Outreach format

Vladimir Putin took part, via videoconference, in the BRICS Plus/Outreach format meeting.

August 24, 2023

Experts have calculated that by 2050, the global population will increase by 1.7 billion people, while global demand for energy will be up by 22 percent with this demand mostly driven by the least developed and developing countries. Therefore, it is obvious that there will be no alternative to hydrocarbon fuel in the foreseeable future. This does not mean that we do not need to accomplish the energy transition, but the transition to a low-carbon economy must be gradual, balanced and carefully prepared, taking into consideration specific national contexts and capabilities.

Speaking of which, certain countries are now dealing with the consequences of the mistakes they made in planning for that transition. The problems are only growing. But we believe these problems can be solved by efficient use of all types of energy resources after the introduction of new, clean technologies and incentives to reduce the carbon footprint.

Russia, along with its BRICS partners, certainly supports technological cooperation on equal terms in renewable energy as well as in other important areas, including the development of new types of nuclear reactors, the promotion of hydrogen technologies, and so on, for example, hydropower. By the way, Africa is our priority partner in these areas as well.

Remarks by President of the Russian Federation at the BRICS Summit expanded format meeting

President of Russia Vladimir Putin:

[…]

Of course, we welcome closer ties between the five BRICS countries in promoting innovation around the world. We expect cooperation as part of the BRICS initiative to establish an international infrastructure network with a dedicated fund, which could be used to support and develop it. Russia stands ready to share the experience it has and the best practices, including in digital transformation and using artificial intelligence.

Russia, to be sure, will continue to promote in every way the further development of sports contacts and youth exchanges. Specifically, the BRICS Games are scheduled for June 2024. We also will be glad to welcome teams from BRICS countries at the Games of the Future international tournament to be held in Kazan next year. These competitions are a unique combination of dynamic athletic disciplines with the most popular video games and technological devices. A good opportunity for contacts and friendly communication will present itself at the World Youth Festival in Sochi in March 2024.

“GAMES OF THE FUTURE” BY TRANSHUMANISTS: THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT ALLOCATES BILLIONS FOR THE CARE OF A PERSON IN DIGITAL AND MERGING WITH A MACHINE

Last week, Digital Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko reported to his digital transformation commander, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, about preparations for the international digital sports tournament “Games of the Future”, which will be held in Kazan in 2024. “Sport” here should be taken in quotation marks, because the competitions are held “at the junction of numbers and physical capabilities of a person.” In fact, these are esports and battles in virtual and augmented reality, for formality, diluted with mini-football, mini-hockey in the gym, etc. And the purpose of these games, which will be promoted at the federal and regional levels extremely widely – in schools, universities, private offices – is completely clear. It lies in the area of blurring and displacing the human in man, promoting the philosophy of convergence of man and machine. …

BRICS change the world and the dirty amecican hegemony technocrats are over.

government dot ru, March 21, 2023

The acceptance of applications for participation in the “Battle of Robots” championship has started

Games of the Future is an international tournament of a new format. The games include competitions in 16 hybrid disciplines. Each of the disciplines corresponds to the concept of “physical+digital”, combining classical sports and esports or VR/AR technology and testing both the physical fitness of athletes and their digital dexterity. The tournament will be held in Kazan in 2024.

The Digital Games are a series of competitions in the digital disciplines preceding the Games of the Future. The first Digital Games were held in Kazan from September 21 to 23, 2022 and included four disciplines: digital football (FIFA + futsal), digital basketball (NBA + streetball), Beat Saber and drone racing. In November and December, there were Digital Racing games (Assetto Corsa + karting), martial arts (Mortal Kombat 11 + MMA) and hockey (NHL 22 + hockey 3*3).

India amd South Africa are still members of the Commonwealth regardless . London still sets the price of gold and somehow the biggest gold producing nations of Russia and China buy their gold and they buy it from England it seems . They hide it from the world , how that all works but I’ve determined that for a fact they buy their gold ,so they arent nationalised mines, and although Emgland seems to have no gold mines itself gold is a major export for them . So they must own russia and china’s gold mines as well as Canadas and Australia’s and probably India and SouthAfricas too. So you see unless there is open ness and transparency about corpoations ownership of resources we are just deceived about everything that MATTERS.

BRICS have a completely different vision of the world and will change him for the better.
Here, for example, is how one of the BRIX leader’s, Putin, sees this new different world, as written in the decree “On the approval of the Concept of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation.”, which the president signed on March 23, 2023. Sample (more – in the link):

“II. The modern world: the main trends and prospects of development

7. Humanity is going through an era of revolutionary changes. The formation of a more just, multipolar world continues. The non-equilibrium model of world development, which for centuries ensured the outstripping economic growth of colonial powers by appropriating the resources of dependent territories and states in Asia, Africa and the Western Hemisphere, is irreversibly going into the past. Sovereignty is being strengthened and the competitive capabilities of non-Western world powers and regional leaders are increasing. The structural restructuring of the world economy, its transfer to a new technological basis (including the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, the latest information and communication, energy, biological technologies and nanotechnologies), the growth of national consciousness, cultural and civilizational diversity and other objective factors accelerate the processes of redistribution of development potential in favor of new centers of economic growth and geopolitical influence, contribute to the democratization of international relations.”

I told you – better. Yes, Patricia.

If someone has not understood what Putin says in the quote (which sums up what he constantly repeats): he complains that American hegemony does not allow less developed countries to benefit from the benefits of civilization’s growth: artificial intelligence, the latest information and telecommunications technologies (such as 5G and others), biological technologies and nanotechnology. But now comes a new time of justice and other countries will be able to benefit.
Isn’t that nice?
Enjoy “BRICS changes the world,” who, as Patricia’s article notes:

We don’t destroy ourselves, it;’s the globalist cabal who do it, through our “elected officials”, puppets in the globalist hands.
Your confusion of the problem and self-hatred stem from the mass mind manipulation by the cabal.
If you don’t see in BRICS the same evil that befell the West, you are part of the problem and your hopes for g-kids are in vain.

The BRICS Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA) continues to be an important mechanism for mitigating the effects of a crisis situation, complementing existing international financial and monetary arrangements, and contributing to the strengthening of the global financial safety net. We reiterate our commitment to the continued strengthening of the CRA and look forward to the successful completion of the sixth Test-Run later in 2023. We also support progress made to amend the outstanding technical issues on the Inter-Central Bank Agreement and endorse the proposed theme of 2023 BRICS Economic Bulletin ‘Challenges in a post-COVID-19 environment.

Partnership for Sustainable Development

[many, many “climate change”, for example]

54. We underscore the importance of collaborating on biodiversity conservation and sustainable use matters, such as research and development of conservation technologies, development of protected areas, and the combatting of illegal trade in wildlife. Furthermore, we will continue to actively participate in international biodiversity-related conventions, such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), its protocols and advancing the implementation of its Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and working towards the Global Initiative on Reducing Land Degradation and Enhancing Conservation of Terrestrial Habitats.

56. We reemphasise the importance of implementing the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its Paris Agreement and the principle of Common but Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective Capabilities (CBDR-RC) enhancing low-cost climate technology transfer, capacity building as well as mobilizing affordable, adequate and timely delivered new additional financial resources for environmentally sustainable projects. We agree that there is a need to defend, promote and strengthen the multilateral response to Climate Change and to work together for a successful outcome of the 28th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP28). We recognise that the Means of Implementation should be enhanced by developed countries, including through adequate and timely flow of affordable Climate Finance, Technical Cooperation, Capacity Building and transfer of Technology for climate actions. Furthermore, there is a need for comprehensive financial arrangements to address loss and damage due to climate change, including operationalising Fund on Loss and Damage as agreed at the UNFCCC COP27 to benefit developing countries.

64. We commit to intensify our efforts towards improving our collective capacity for global pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, and strengthening our ability to fight back any such pandemics in the future collectively. In this regard, we consider it important to continue our support to the BRICS Virtual Vaccine Research and Development Center. We look forward to the holding of the High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response to be to be held on 20th September 2023 at the United Nations General Assembly and we call for an outcome that will mobilise political will and continued leadership on this matter.

65. We recognize the fundamental role of primary health care as a key foundation for Universal Health Care and health system’s resilience, as well as on prevention and response to health emergencies. We believe that the High-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) to be held at the UN General Assembly in September 2023 would be a critical step for mobilizing the highest political support for UHC as the cornerstone to achieving SDG 3 (good health and well-being). We reiterate our support for the international initiatives, with the leadership of WHO, on addressing tuberculosis (TB) and look forward to actively engaging in the United Nations HighLevel Meeting on TB in New York in September this year and encourage an assertive political declaration.

Who is for Karakorum to replace Patricia? LOL

A week ago, Rhoda Wilson published an article with David Skribac’s opinion thar Putin and BRICS act for the globalist agenda.

Putin, bankster’s crypto-boy, graduate of Klaus Schwab’s Young Global Leaders school. A KGB-trained super-agent, does he not know both “climate change” and the plandemic are hyper hoaxes to force Agenda2030 followed by NWO, with 90% depop in a couple of generations from now?

Skribac erred. BRICS is not a new regional union like the EU — it is much more. Under the guise of more humane, “multi-polar” world, Tsar Vlad Putin seems to be the motor driving global cabal’s agenda. Despite his Stalinist-like propaganda of dystopian Bright Future, the savvy among us recognize the same, ages-old dialectic: thesis “West”, anti-thesis “East”, both under the cabal’s control, will struggle for a better Humanity with a synthesis unchanged” world under the cabal;’s control.
