With the Government removing the winter fuel payment for 10 million pensioners and some who received the benefit having to pay it back, a school in County Durham thought it would join in with the state-sanctioned misery-by-freezing programme by holding a “Blue Nose Day.”
In a bid to reduce its “carbon footprint,” Wolsingham School planned to turn the heating off for a whole day this week. Yesterday, according to My London, the school said the event would no longer go ahead as planned after “speaking to several parents regarding their concerns.” The Daily Mail reported that the school was forced to ditch its plans following a wave of criticism. And The Northern Echo reported that the Blue Nose Day at Wolsingham School was cancelled after outrage.
The climate alarmists haven’t given up completely though, they intend to make a comeback. The “Climate Action Team” is now planning for the Blue Nose Day event to go ahead in the summer term next year when temperatures will be warmer than the daytime low of 7oC predicted for Friday.

Yesterday morning Charlotte, The Baroness tweeted a message from Wolsingham School that was sent to parents stating that on Friday 18 October, the school will be taking part in a “blue nose day.” In mid-afternoon, she tweeted a message from the school that Blue Nose Day had been cancelled … for now.
According to The Northern Echo, the initial email was sent to parents by Mr. Heath, a geography teacher. But the idea for Blue Nose Day is thought to have been thought up by pupils as a way to reduce the school’s carbon footprint and “raise the importance of being more sustainable,” the Express said.
If that is the case, questions must be asked about the level of propaganda and psychological manipulation children are being subjected to during school hours. We also have to ask why a school has a “Climate Action Team” and how it is that the UN’s Agenda 2030 “sustainability” programme has been allowed to entrench itself in schools that are supposed to be supporting the development of young minds rather than indoctrinating them.
It’s not necessary to state the obvious, but we will. Had the school succeeded in their plan to turn the heating off for the day and children were not permitted to wrap up warm, as the email instructed, there could have conceivably been an outbreak of seasonal colds or flu – which, if the last few years are anything to go by, would have been labelled as a covid outbreak, for example, and used to push unsafe and ineffective vaccines onto the population at large.
The follow-up email to abandon Friday’s plan was sent by Headteacher Nick Mitchingham.
Below we have copied both messages as tweeted by Charlotte, The Baroness. At the end, we have attached copies of the images of both emails.
From Wolsingham School
Dear parent/carer,
On Friday 18th October [sic] 2024 our school will be taking part in a blue nose day. This will entail the heating being turned off throughout the school day to conserve energy. We are doing this to help reduce our schools [sic] carbon footprint and raise the importance of being more sustainable.
On the 18th October [sic], students should maintain the exact uniform standards as usual, but we are recommending that they wear a black v neck [sic] jumper (if you already have one) or any non-visible layers under their uniform (skins, vest, plain white t-shirt, extra thick socks) [sic]
Please note hoodies will not be permitted and blazers should be worn.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns.
Kind regards,
Mr Heath
From Wolsingham School
Dear parent/carer,
As you will be aware the students involved in the Climate Action Team have been planning a Blue Nose Day for this Friday 18th October [sic] 2024.
The event was designed to raise the importance in our school community of being more sustainable and in a small way reduce the schools [sic] carbon footprint. The date was carefully chosen by looking at average temperatures by month and short-term weather forecasts, indicating a temperature in Wolsingham of approx. 15C on Friday.
After careful consideration and speaking to several parents regarding their concerns, the Blue Nose Day scheduled for Friday 18 October 2024 will now not go ahead as planned. School will be open as usual with staff and students not needing to wear extra layers of clothing and with the heating switched on as on a normal school day.
Students in the Climate Action Team have already played a key part in making Wolsingham school [sic] more sustainable in other ways over the last few academic years.
This includes the installation of filtered water coolers, meaning the amount of single use [sic] plastic, from water bottles, has been reduced to extremely close to zero.
The Climate Action Team will now plan for the day to occur in the Summer term 2025 and will communicate with parents/carers leading up to it with details of the event.
Kind regards
Wolsingham School

It might be better for the children if Mr. Heath concentrated more on English, than on climate alarmism.
The attempt to “reduce the schools [sic] carbon footprint” at “Wolsingham school [sic]” may have even resulted in children becoming ill [sick].
Hi A Person, Mr Heath would also do well to learn more about health and safety. Health and safety guidance suggests a minimum temperature of 16°C (59°F) or 13°C (56°F) for workrooms, including classrooms. However “Employers must stick to health and safety at work law, including: keeping the temperature at a comfortable level.”
https://www.gov.uk/workplace-temperatures
When it comes to schools, there are no laws regarding minimum temperatures but schools seem to follow the Education (School Premises) Regulations 1999 which was discontinued in 2012. This “set out legal thresholds for minimum temperatures in schools … 18ºC in areas of normal levels of physical activity (eg in the classroom).”

No need for brainwash at the school where my daughter is currently working (though they still do it anyway – cut, wash and blow-dry with optional permanent microwaves beamed in). The kids and teachers are soaked and frozen by default. The school is being rebuilt around them and the temporary prefab huts have leaky roofs and crumbling floors which means no heat when it rains. Added to which a girl was hit by a car yesterday trying to cross the extremely busy road between the huts and the main school.
My daughters were home-schooled and have taken temporary jobs as teaching assistants after uni. I can’t believe some of the stuff they tell me about conditions and so-called teaching in the schools. Their uni courses were bad enough – insomniac-level woke – but the insanity is pumped like volk-cine non-stop into the schoolkids.
Wolsingham is a private school just down the road from me in County Durham. People pay a lot to send their kids there so I guess they get a bit of a say in things. I wonder how an event like this would go in a state school – would the parents have as much influence if the Local Authority were in charge, with its staff of lunatics and robots.
These brainwashed climate jugend are a bit scary.
Last week The Expose gave us “Demonising The Elderly”, taken from, ‘They want to kill us all’ by Jack King.
https://expose-news.com/2024/10/11/demonising-the-elderly/
There will be many people who doubt that assisted dying could eventually result in healthy people being murdered just because of their age, but this article gives a reminder of how effective brainwashing is.
Brainwashing kids is easy and effective. Their brains are meant to soak up whatever they are told. I don’t have time to look this up to get it exactly right, but there is some quotation – “Give me child at seven and he (or she) is mine for life”, and Mao’s revolution succeeded because of brainwashing.
In Mao’s revolution, youngsters were made to believe so strongly in the cause, that they would inform on their parents for holding opposing views. I don’t know if this is true, but I have read that they would even be happy to see their parents executed for being counter-revolutionary.
If teachers tell kids that using energy to keep old people warm and alive is destroying the planet, they can be persuaded to deny warmth to the elderly. They will see that as justified and necessary and then made to believe that keeping the elderly alive is morally wrong. They can be turned into Maoist killers. If you think this is exaggeration, read some history. Genocide is real.
As some church leader said last week – “The right to die soon becomes the duty to die.” There is a wise old saying – never say never.
