Druthers is a free, monthly, independent, people-powered Canadian newspaper.  It launched in December 2020, born from a desperate need for truth in media when the mainstream propaganda machine went into full swing, creating huge divides among the population. 

The newspaper now averages 250,000 copies per month.

Issues of the newspaper can be accessed through the Druthers.ca website and read online for free.  Physical copies can be purchased for delivery to your or your neighbour’s mailbox.  There are also options for monthly subscriptions or simply to make a donation.

• The majority of Canadians are saying “No” to the shots. According to Health Canada’s latest data, only 18.2% of the adult population in Canada has received an updated COVID-19 vaccine despite a relentless multi-billion-dollar promotional campaign.

• Vaccination rates have significantly decreased around the world from pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels, according to a 2023 immunization coverage report released by the World Health Organization (WHO). Dr. Katherine O’Brien, director of the Department of Immunization, Vaccines, and Biologicals at the WHO, noted that vaccine skepticism, which surged during the pandemic, is partly to blame for the global decline.

• A new Gallup poll finds that fewer Americans today consider childhood vaccines important, with only 40% saying it is extremely important for parents to have their children vaccinated, down from 58% in 2019.

• “Google is a monopolist,” judge rules in landmark antitrust case. The Justice Department and states sued Google, accusing it of illegally cementing its dominance, in part, by paying other companies, like Apple and Samsung, billions of dollars a year to have Google automatically handle search queries on their smartphones and web browsers. “Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly,” Judge Mehta wrote in his ruling. As of June 2023, Google controlled 91% of the global search engine market across all computing platforms, according to Statcounter. On mobile, Google’s market share was even higher, at 95%.

• The UK has banned the prescription of puberty blockers for children with “gender dysphoria.” The High Court ruled that the previous government’s ban is lawful, given the evidence against the safety of puberty blockers. Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Orient, applauded the decision, and added that the use of hormone drugs to treat gender dysphoria has the effect of making the recipients “life-long patients for a very lucrative industry.” She said, “Puberty itself is probably the best treatment for ‘gender dysphoria.’ After experiencing normal puberty, the vast majority of teens will accept their biological sex and escape from the pipeline leading to harmful cross-sex hormones, mutilating surgery, and life-long psychiatric care.”

• The Ford Motor Company announces a shift away from electric vehicle production as interest declines. According to AutoTrader, for the second year in a row, Canadians’ interest in electric vehicles has declined, with 46% of Canadians now saying they plan to make their next car purchase an electric vehicle (down from 68% in 2022).

• Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced that new legislation on pronouns in schools will be proposed this fall. The new policy will require parents to be notified when children 15 and under want to change their names or pronouns in school. Smith says she also intends to bring forth legislation to include restricting trans youth access to gender affirming health care, banning trans participation in female sports, and requiring parental consent on sex education.

• Ontario Crown withdrew charges against a Waterloo Ontario father who attended an anti-lockdown rally. Randal Linton, who attended an anti-lockdown rally in 2021, had been charged with failure to comply under the Reopening Ontario Act, and an additional charge under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act. Had he been convicted, Mr. Linton could have been jailed for a maximum of 1 year and fined up to $100,000.

• Harrison Butker, an NFL kicker who delivered a viral speech where he said he’d rather retire than cave into getting the COVID-19 jab, has just become the highest-paid kicker in NFL history. Butker signed a groundbreaking four-year–$25.6–million contract extension. It seems that success based on merit, not diversity or politics, still exists.

• Louisiana judge rules that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s lawsuit, alleging that the Biden administration colluded with social media companies to censor COVID-19 posts, can move forward. In the lawsuit, Kennedy and plaintiffs claim that various government entities (including the Biden administration, the Surgeon General’s Office, the FBI, the CDC, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) coerced social media platforms into censoring content related to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly targeting views that were critical of government policies on mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and lockdowns. In his ruling, Judge Doughty stated, “The evidence presented shows that the Kennedy plaintiffs were directly targeted by government defendants for their views on COVID19, and there is a substantial risk that such targeting will continue in the future.” Although the case is far from over, the ruling represents a significant victory for those advocating for free speech and against government overreach in the digital age.

• Establishment “experts” finally admit that certain vaccine studies have never been conducted. In a recent interview, Dr. Paul Offit, one of the world’s leading vaccinologists and co-author of what is considered to be the “bible of vaccines,” admitted that studies comparing unvaccinated children to vaccinated children have not been done. He claims they are “impossible” to do for ethical reasons. Meanwhile, lead author of Plotkin’s Vaccines, Dr. Stanley Plotkin aka the “godfather of vaccines,” made a recent statement in a published paper revealing the truth about safety trials on vaccines in the US. He paints a highly disturbing picture of vaccine safety that falls far short of the safety claims our health agencies make.

• After 17 long years of waiting, a new water treatment facility now supplies drinking water to residents of a Saskatchewan reserve. The Star Blanket Cree Nation, an indigenous reserve located northeast of Regina, lifted a boil-water advisory that’s been in effect since 2007. How amazing that we have unlimited funds for vaccines, yet it took 17 years to get clean water to this community.

• New Hampshire Governor, Chris Sununu, signed into law three bills to protect children from the trans agenda: one that keeps girls’ sports exclusive to girls, one that bars children under 18 from receiving “genital gender reassignment surgery,” and one that gives parents more control over how, if at all, their children are taught about sex and gender at school.
