The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill is a private members’ bill introduced in the UK Parliament by Kim Leadbeater to legalise euthanasia in England and Wales. It has passed all three readings in the House of Commons and its first reading in the House of Lords. It has been tabled to have its second reading in the Lords next week, on 12 September 2025.

Sometime this month (September 2025), members of the House of Lords (possibly the most undemocratic and unrepresentative body in the world) will decide whether to approve the Leadbeater Bill to allow doctor-assisted suicide.
The House of Lords can stop this Bill dead in its tracks. It is a private member’s Bill, and the Government cannot force the Bill through.
The evidence showing that doctor-assisted suicide won’t be painless, dignified or quick is overwhelming.
And you’d have to be naïve and ignorant not to believe that if this Bill is passed then within a short time, doctor-assisted suicide will be available to children, the mentally ill, the poor, the unemployed, the disabled and the elderly.
That’s what always happens.

Sounds like the movie Soylent Green (1973) a dystopian future of dying oceans and year-round humidity caused by the greenhouse effect, with the resulting pollution, depleted resources, poverty, and ‘overpopulation’, resulting in euthanasia centers. (it is also what happened during the covid period in the UK using Midazolam to kill people)

I support euthanasia for all MP’s. It’s only merciful.
Look at what has happened in Canada. Newborns with disabilities can be euthenised after birth, Mental health problems are an accepted reason to want to commit s*icide. It is a slippery slope that will end up with “guard rails” being abandoned, just like Canada. If you think it is merciful, please be aware that the soon-to-be deceased are given a paralytic before the lethal method is deployed, it drowns you and you will be unable to move or vocalise. Please look into this, it may look like mercy, but it is all part of the great cull.

Prognosis dead before 10 years old due to severe asthma. At 10 years old I was enjoying healthy active life though no effective anti-asthma drugs available.
After many decades’ good health and clinical science career I know adults also defy prognoses and, doctors’ attitude affects patients’ response; disdain triggers defiance and respect makes placebos cure.
Some inexplicably slip quietly away, some inexplicably achieve full health. And sometimes, just after someone struggling with illness gives up, effective treatment unexpectedly becomes available.
None know it all or can see the future. Highly knowledgeable and skilled teams often face a something within a patient that decides their outcome against all known rationale.
Love of life or for family, hope, will? Some unfathomable immense power that just needs time in which to do whatever it intends.
If a person takes their own life and their decision is totally uninfluenced, it is suicide. But campaigns coerce; so could any now make uninfluenced decisions?
Asking for help to die does not take own life. Taking someone else’s life, steals and is murder. ‘Euthanasia’ of 1930/40s USSR and Germany is white-washed by word ‘assisted’, inciting theft.
Within families there is always subtle yet strong mutual influence; with interwoven, inter-personal relationships through generations and wider family, real situation is indecipherable by, imperceptible to, outsiders.
Struggle to make financial ends meet could turn ‘assisted dying’ into murder. And, exactly what does ‘cost of living’ mean? Own life is own birth-right, not mere merchandise to buy or sell.
Love is real wealth; it can’t be bought, can only give it. Money for water, food, roof over head meets those needs but love is also vital. If people do not love others and life’s variety, they fear for self and hate life’s difficulties e.g. illness, poverty.
The two pre-requisites of love, respect and trust, allow the loved freedom. As lust locks lusted-after to self, padlocks in public places suggest lust, not love as claimed.
Impatient, unsatisfied consumers; instant ‘out with old, in with new. Crying babies given phones, fruitlessly on-line for love; desperate slaves or slavers. ‘Selfies’ show all subservient to self.
2020/21 family and friends were bullied to do as self chose. Threats and incentives prevented uninfluenced consent to jabs. Can any now totally refrain from ‘having their say’ in another’s life-decision, influencing it?
2020 fearful were aggressive. Panic-buyers starved low income pensioners and disabled. Wide-spread out with old: “only old at risk and already had more than their share of years.”
Carers refused to work without full PPE. GPs withdrew scrips. Parents suffocated under 2 year-olds, even under 3 months with masks. Owners fixed suffocating masks on dogs.
Legalising ‘assisting dying’ now promoted.
Human Right to live in dignity free of bullying or any other cruelty; UK nowhere near to 100% guarantee that for each and all.
First essential for life still to be achieved; offering death side-tracks that. Bullies want murderous cruelty hidden; only murder is investigated, never ‘suicide’. How many serial killers go free under ‘suicide’ label?
Is there humility, patience, tolerance, honesty, fortitude, self-discipline, rationality, greed, contempt or what in UK? ‘Assisted dying’ in population of unthinking selfish, fearful, lusting fast-buck, thieving bullies risks a blood-bath.
