Anti-government umbrella group Australia Unites Against Government Corruption, anti-immigration group Save Australia and anti-racism groups Blak Caucus and Campaign Against Racism and Fascism were each planning demonstrations this weekend.
Rallies against racism and mass migration brought opposing groups within meters of each other in multiple cities. The two separate opposing groups came head-to-head outside Parliament House on Spring Street, Melbourne.

The protests included a vigil for American conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, whose assassination was expected to influence turnout. On Thursday, the head of Turning Point Australia, Joel Jammal, the local branch of Kirk’s non-profit organisation that promotes conservative politics on school and university campuses, said his followers were “devastated” by the murder.
“Me, the whole team and the audience are in mourning right now. It’s as if royalty has just passed away to us,” said Jammal, who is promoting the Australia Unites Sydney protest and organising the vigil at Sydney’s Hyde Park, Financial Review reported.
Here’s a video clip of the event posted to Twitter:
As has become the norm all over the West, far-left agitators were out causing trouble:
Far left agitators have done this before.
We should remind ourselves that in Europe in the early 20th century, fascism evolved out of communist (far-left) and socialist (hard-left) movements. Fascism is socialism/communism with a capitalist veneer. Although fascism has no concrete ideology and there is no universally accepted definition, it is commonly characterised by a dictatorial leader, centralised autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race (“the common good”) and strong regimentation of society and the economy. Another common thread in fascist movements was a hatred and persecution of the Jews. It is these very characteristics we have been witnessing, starting in early 2020, from radical, far and hard left activists and protestors.
There was a rally against immigration held in Sydney as well:
Further protests are planned for the coming days:
