David Lammy claims his ancestors were slaves – he lied

Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy made an address at the United Nations claiming he is a descendant of Western slaves. However, a review of Lammy’s ancestry revealed that many of his forebears were involved in conquest and slavery, similar to their Western contemporaries.

Lammy’s ancestors were not enslaved “at the barrel of a gun” by Americans or Europeans, as he claimed; he is more likely to be a descendant of African slavers.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary Rants About Slavery at the UN … But Guess Who His Ancestors Were?

The following was written by Jack Montgomery and published by The National Pulse.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy used a United Nations (“UN”) address to cringingly chastise Russia’s President Vladimir Putin for invading Ukraine to grandstand about Western slavery.

“Mr President, I speak not only as a Briton, as a Londoner, and as a foreign secretary… [but] also as a black man whose ancestors were taken in chains from Africa, at the barrel of a gun to be enslaved, whose ancestors rose up and fought in a great rebellion of the enslaved,” he said, adding: “Imperialism: I know it when I see it, and I will call it out for what it is.”

A review of Lammy’s ancestry by The National Pulse has revealed that many of his forebears were involved in conquest and slavery, at least as much as their Western contemporaries.

The new foreign secretary’s 2021 book ‘Tribes’ reveals he is “25 per cent Tuareg tribe (Niger), 25 per cent Temne tribe (Sierra Leone), 25 per cent Bantu tribe (South Africa), with 5 per cent traces of Celtic Scotland and a mishmash of other unidentified groups.”

African Slavery

The Tuaregs are a predominantly Muslim people who do not generally present as black Africans due to North African, Middle Eastern, and even European ancestry. Inhabiting mainly desert regions, slave raiding, slave trading and protecting slave caravans was a key part of their way of life and chattel slavery still exists in Tuareg lands to this day.

The Temne were also slavers, and their territories were unstable due to the existence of slave villages that rose in revolt periodically. After the British established Freetown in Sierra Leone as a home for freed slaves, the practice continued in the Temne hinterland into the 20th century.

The Bantu people, including the Zulu, were extremely warlike, seizing much of the territory they occupied in South Africa from the Khoisan, or Bushmen, hunter-gatherers, who are today a small minority in the country. Pygmy peoples were also frequently ethnically cleansed or enslaved by Bantus and continue to be discriminated against by Bantus today.

Far-Left Agenda

Notably, it is doubtful Lammy’s ancestors were enslaved “at the barrel of a gun” by Americans or Europeans, with the vast majority of slaves taken from Africa being sold by African slave masters.

His efforts to turn the Ukraine War into an opportunity to push racial grievances demonstrate not just his own well-established ignorance of history but the far-left ideology still at the heart of the Labour Party, despite Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s efforts to disguise it with a camouflage of bland managerialism.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, once on the extreme left of her party, is pulling a similar trick. It is not a coincidence that her team is currently recruiting Labour Party strategists.

While previously it was a hobby culminating in writing articles for Wikipedia (until things made a drastic and undeniable turn in 2020) and a few books for private consumption, since March 2020 I have become a full-time researcher and writer in reaction to the global takeover that came into full view with the introduction of covid-19. For most of my life, I have tried to raise awareness that a small group of people planned to take over the world for their own benefit. There was no way I was going to sit back quietly and simply let them do it once they made their final move.

Rhoda, I’m “sick and tired of it too”.

Not all ‘slaves’ were treated in the same way-some loved their masters (Deuteronomy 15:16), for they looked after them! George Whitefield of Gloucester being a notable example.

The Bible doesn’t condemn slavery (however one defines it) only the mistreatment of one’s fellow man, and bad men have always been around-nothing new there!

As a kid I could never understand why some nonwhites had unpronounceable African names, and others English names, I was told that those whose ancestors were slaves took on their master’s surname, so you can tell them apart from those who never descended from slavery.

I don’t know the origin of the name Lammy.

They didn’t take on their master’s names, that was forced upon them as a label of ‘property’ and any trace of their previous identity erased. So nothing to do with being able to tell them apart, they literally had no other names or the choice of having any decision over it since they could not name their own children in most cases; that was the owner’s ‘power’ under laws of the time.

I don’t doubt there is some truth in what you assert, but put yourself in the position of someone who has just been plucked out of their homeland and cast into a strange land, would you?

You are a non-white, and all you see about you are whites with surnames such as Davis, Jones, Smith, Owen, Barnes (you get where I am coming from?) you are a stranger in a strange land because of your skin colour! If your birth name was Yinka Majekundumnemos you might not assimilate so easily, so why draw undue attention to yourself, if you get my gist?

There is truth in the secular proverb-when in Rome do as the Romans do.

Rhoda, they did indeed “integrate into the white population” as you write.

A man (20+ years older) I used to do much business with in the Barton area of Gloucester said to me “the first generation of blacks he interacted with were the nicest, kindest, helpful and most generous people you could meet-they couldn’t do enough for you”. He employed several of them. Most were God fearing people, I am sure, but of the next generation?

He told me of the next generation that they had “a chip on their shoulder” that they had an entirely different persona-that was his observation.

Why is this?

Yes-“the younger people in general are becoming more difficult…” this is not too difficult to discern, is it?

But why? The Scriptures teach us in no uncertain terms that wickedness must prevail in this age…

I had no idea just how thick Lammy was until I heard his intensely embarrasing, off piste, unprofessional, and just plain odd speeech which was supposed to be about Ukraine but was instead a mendacious and entirely out of place tirade (not quite the right word since he had to repeatedly read it from notes and there was zero passion or any other emotion involved) As bad a s Humza Yoosless with his ‘white, white, white’ speech in a country that is 96% white. Or worse? YOU decide!!

Hi Rhoda,
Remember Queen Victoria used the Royal Navy to help stop slavery worldwide.
She made slavery illegal, and the British public paid off the slave traders.

I’m NO fan of tap dancing coconut David Lammy.
However, whatever bits of ancestry he has in his DNA….The fact remains that an ancestor of his got to Guyana from Africa via the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
They were captured by an Islamic or Hamitic African Tribe and sold to gun welding Europeans who transported them to Guyana.
Once there, they would have been subjected to chattel slavery which out the many types of slavery there is, happens to be the most dehumanising.
Those are the facts.
