Note from Vernon Coleman
With Dr. Jack King’s permission, I am publishing extracts from his new book `Anyone who tells you that doctor-assisted suicide is always dignified and painless is lying. Here’s the proof’ which has just been published and should be available on Amazon.
Dr. King’s new book is the most comprehensive and detailed analysis of doctor-assisted suicide/euthanasia ever published and it will no doubt be suppressed, ignored or attacked by reviewers who haven’t read it.
Please encourage everyone you know to read and share these extracts and then to buy copies of Dr. King’s book to send to members of the House of Lords (who will decide, probably on 14 September, whether doctor assisted suicide is to become legal in the UK), to MPs (who have already voted in favour of the new Bill but who will in due course have another chance to vote) and to journalists. The price of the paperback version of this book includes no royalties for Dr. King.
If enough readers help and send copies to members of the House of Lords, we can defeat this Bill. But if not, then I fear that the Bill will go through and life will never be the same again. Those who have falsely claimed that doctor-assisted suicide is always painless and dignified will win. And the euthanasia legislation will go through. It will never be repealed and within five years, the British State will be legally able to kill anyone who is disabled, old, poor, unemployed and depressed. They’ll kill children, too. Look back over the years and you will see, I am afraid, that my predictions have been uncannily accurate about covid and many other things. I fear I’m right about this, too. If you don’t fight this Bill, then you will have no reason to complain when those you love become victims.
You should be able to buy a copy of `Anyone who tells you doctor-assisted suicide is always dignified and painless is lying: Here’s the proof’ by Dr. Jack King, if you go to the Amazon website. Of course, there is always a chance that it will have mysteriously become “currently unavailable.”

Anyone who tells you that doctor-assisted suicide is always dignified and painless is lying: Here’s the proof (Part Two)
Dr Jack King
To understand what is happening, and why doctor assisted suicide programmes are being introduced and heavily promoted around the world (with opposition largely suppressed), it is necessary to understand how (and why) we got here.
The indiscriminate slaughter of the frail, the disabled and the elderly really began with the introduction of the Liverpool Care Pathway – one of the most shameful and inhumane programmes ever introduced in medicine; a programme ostensibly introduced for the benefit of the allegedly terminally ill but in reality frequently used to cut caring costs and save money by simply starving patients to death (and by causing death by dehydration by refusing to give fluids). It is sad to realise just how far medicine has sunk in recent decades for this sort of behaviour has been considered reprehensible for many centuries. Back in 1511, a monk called Anton Montesino castigated Christians for their behaviour in the New World. Speaking in the Dominican Republic he said: ‘By what authority do you wage such hideous wars against these people who peacefully inhabit their lands, killing them by unspeakable means? How can you oppress them, giving neither food nor medicine….in all for your insatiable thirst for gold.’
Originally devised in the late 1990s by the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, and intended for the care of terminally ill cancer patients, the Pathway was rapidly extended to include all those patients whom doctors decided were dying. And then patients who doctors decided did not have lives that were worth living were added and also killed.
It is important to recognise at this point that there is often a big difference between the value of a life as seen from the perspective of the patient and from the perspective of the doctor. Health professionals have become too eager to take responsibility for the lives of people they are paid to look after – and to end those lives if they think the patient doesn’t have a life worth living. The patient may have an entirely different view of the value of their life.
It is also vital to understand how and why healing professions suddenly became enamoured of an approach to medical care which can best be described as The Shipman Philosophy – named after Dr Harold Shipman, a general practitioner who killed around 250 of his patients. (It must be said that in most cases Shipman appears to have killed his patients so speedily and without causing them pain. His advice would have been invaluable for those organising ‘death by doctor’ schemes.)
In the early part of the 21st century, the Liverpool Care Pathway was extended to cover the whole of the UK. Patients considered by doctors or nurses to be too old, or in some way not worth saving (or in colloquial terms ‘past their sell by date’) were literally starved of food and drink. In many cases food was put on trays next to frail, weak or disabled patients who could see the food and drink but were not able to feed themselves, and who therefore suffered agonies and slowly died. The food was then collected half an hour later. Sometimes the staff didn’t even bother to offer food and drink to patients. Such imaginable cruelty was and still is commonplace in British hospitals.
Patients on the Liverpool Care Pathway were routinely left unwashed and uncared for in filthy sheets and they were denied the medicines they needed. Doctors and nurses who were employed to save patients were doing the opposite and the Liverpool Care Pathway was (and still is) nothing more or less than legalised murder.
No one knows how many hundreds of thousands of patients were killed this way. Studies showed that decisions to allow patients to die were often made by junior staff, that treatment was merely stopped on what was often no more than a whim, that there was little or no evaluation or care and that patients selected for the Pathway had often not been properly assessed by experts. Guidelines were ignored and in almost half the cases neither the patient nor their relatives were consulted or even informed that it had been decided to put the patient on the Liverpool Care Pathway.
dying and beyond help would not be resuscitated time and time again, simply delaying the inevitable and putting comatose patients and distraught relatives through endless pain. Supporters of DNR Notices claim that thousands and possibly millions of comatose and allegedly brain dead patients would still be alive today if the principle of DNR had not been introduced. What DNR supporters don’t say is that many of the people ‘killed’ as a result of DNR notices would today be leading normal lives.
Today, ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ notices are routinely slapped on the notes of patients who are awaiting surgery for entirely curable problems or who are simply old (by which doctors and nurses sometimes mean that they are over 50) or disabled or ill or suffering from mental illness. Even young adults and children are regularly labelled ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ if a doctor or nurse feels their lives are worthless. Children with Down’s Syndrome, for example, seem particularly vulnerable and they, and children with learning disabilities, are not uncommonly given routine DNR orders.
Doctors and nurses lie to patients and tell them that resuscitation is always painful (‘it may cause a broken rib’) and that it’s better for them to die if they develop an infection after, say, routine surgery. But because patients in hospital are often scared and therefore, have difficulty thinking rationally, especially when under pressure to make quick decisions, many will choose to accept a DNR notice rather than be resuscitated.
Too many doctors no longer offer hope to patients. They have been taught that patients must always be told the bald truth. They tell them: ‘There isn’t anything more we can do’ and instead of offering hope, the most potent drug there is, they offer despair. DNR notices are a useful weapon with which to persuade people to abandon hope and to embrace death as a solution to their distress. The medical establishment has deliberately and cold bloodedly taken the caring out of medicine.
The decline in caring came to a head during 2020. It was thought that there would not be enough medical beds for all those suffering from covid (though this assumption was proved to be entirely false) and the medical establishment decided that the Liverpool Care Pathway wasn’t killing people fast enough. Doctors began systematically, deliberately and cold bloodedly murdering old people in hospitals and care homes – using a ‘kill shot’ injection consisting of midazolam and morphine. In March and April 2020, doctors said they would simply refuse to see or treat old people. One GP told a care home manager that no one over the age of 75 would be admitted to hospital. Referrals by GPs for suspected cancer fell by 70% as doctors abandoned their patients and their responsibilities.
As the number of pensioners dying increased, Government ministers openly boasted of the huge amounts of money that were being saved. They were saving on pensions that they didn’t have to pay and they were saving on medical care. The slaughter of the innocent which occurred during 2020 was nothing more or less than a form of genocide. And they were murders. What else do you call it when people are deliberately killed? Murder is murder whether it’s committed by a man with a gun or a nurse with a syringe.
The argument was that old people had to be kept out of hospitals so that the staff would be free to deal with younger patients who were suffering from covid. In fact, as is well known, doctors and nurses had so little to do that they spent their time rehearsing complicated TikTok dance routines while the innocent elderly were being slaughtered. Specially built hospitals, designed to cope with an expected avalanche of covid patients, were left empty and unused.
There is no doubt that too many doctors and nurses acquired a taste for killing during the lockdowns and were left with the feeling that there was nothing wrong with killing the elderly or the sick. The lockdowns and the killing frenzy created a new breed of cold-blooded health care workers – most of whom had been prepared for this by their collectivism training.
