Last month, Japanese researcher Dai Ato published a study that examined the relationship between atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels and human emissions, with sea surface temperature as a key factor.
The findings reject the theory that human-caused emissions are the primary driver of atmospheric CO₂ increase. Instead, the study concludes that sea surface temperature plays a dominant role in regulating CO₂ levels and no human impact is observed.
Ato’s study was published on 16 August in Science of Climate Change, a not-for-profit independent scientific journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications and review papers on all aspects of climate change.
The multivariate analysis used publicly available data from prominent climate research and energy-related organisations. He found that human emissions were not a determining factor in any of the regression models.
A regression model is a statistical technique used to estimate the relationship between a response (dependent) variable and a set of explanatory (independent) variables.
The study concluded that sea surface temperature (“SST”), not human emissions, was the independent determinant of the annual increase in atmospheric CO₂ concentration.
“This study is the first to use multiple regression analysis to demonstrate that the independent determinant of the annual increase in atmospheric CO₂ concentration was SST, which showed strong predictive ability. However, human CO₂ emissions were irrelevant. This result indicates that atmospheric CO₂ has fluctuated as natural phenomenon, regardless of human activity,” the study says.
“The global SST has been the main determinant of annual increases in atmospheric CO₂ concentrations since 1959. No human impact was observed.”

A new just published paper is wonderful news for mankind, climate alarmism has been debunked.
- All the trillions of dollars that were earmarked to spend on big batteries, high voltage transmission lines, and wind turbines can now be diverted into health, improved living standards and eliminating poverty.
- Legions of climate grifters can now spend their time in productive endeavours.
- We won’t have to kill thousands of koalas by destroying their native habitat constructing wind turbines.
- The little children will no longer have to be scared.
For this new peer-reviewed published study concludes:
The global SST (Sea surface temperature) has been the main determinant of annual increases in atmospheric CO2 concentrations since 1959.
No human impact was observed.
This result indicates that human efforts to curb CO2 emissions have been, at least in the past, meaningless.
Moreover, the theory that modern global warming and climate change are caused by human-emitted CO2 is also wrong, irrelevantly to the credibility of the story that modern warming and climate change are occurring more dramatically than those in the past.

The entire climate scare campaign is first and foremost underpinned by the theory that man’s use of fossil fuels is causing CO2 levels in the atmosphere to increase.
Secondly, this increase in CO2 is not natural and is causing an increase in bad weather.
And thirdly, by stopping generating energy from coal, oil and gas, we can stop CO2 levels from increasing and stop increases in bad weather.
However, this new study finds that increases in CO2 levels are not caused by man’s activities, but by natural increases in sea surface temperatures.
This makes sense; as man’s activities (37 gigatonnes of CO2) only account for 3% of the total CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, compared to ~330 gigatonnes from oceanic sources and ~ 440 gigatonnes from terrestrial sources – and the CO2 emitted from the oceans varies depending upon sea surfaces temperatures.
The study found that variations in sea surface temperatures is what is driving CO2 increases.
For example, in 1992, the world experienced a global cooling snap caused by the Mount Pinatubo eruption, and in 1992 the atmospheric CO2 concentration only increased by 0.49 ppm [parts per million].
In contrast, in 1998 an El Niño warmed the world, and the CO2 concentration increased by 2.97 ppm
So, between 1992 and 1998, there was a six-fold difference in the increase in CO2 concentrations (0.49 ppm to 2.97 ppm). However, emissions from 1992 (23.4 gigatonnes) and 1998 (25.3 gigatonnes) differed by only 8%.
So, the science is in. The alarmism can end.
However, we need to understand that the climate change movement is a brainwashed cult, held together by a strongly held quasi-religious belief, not to mention the grifters making millions from perpetuating the alarmism.

There is a lot more to atmospheric CO2 activity than this, and I wouldn’t rush to use this as proof when there is already so much verified proof that atmospheric CO2 is not harmful and is only beneficial, and that the current deliberately false narrative that they want us to believe is a total lie.

At the time when the planet was at it’s most verdant, the carbon load of the atmosphere was 7000 parts per million. We are currently at a level of just over 400 parts per million. If it falls as low as 200 parts per million, we enter a state of carbon drought, where we will have effectively broken the carbon cycle. This is when there is insufficient CO2 to sustain any vegetation, turning the whole planet into a desert.
The climate extremists like Extinction Rebellion, are facilitating the very extinction they are rebelling against and are too stupid to see it. The fact is, that a high level of CO2 in the atmosphere, is not, and never has been a problem, in the entire history of the planet.
It was never about climate; it was all about control. The air is composed of N2 (78%), O2 (21%), and 1% others (largely Argon, an inert gas). CO2 accounts for only about 0.04% of the air and is heavier than the air, so it tends to sink when undisturbed. The most abundant and effective greenhouse gas is water vapors. Saying that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and is causing global warming is like saying that my wife’s hot flashes are keeping my house warm in winter.

Most experts agree that 1,500 ppm is the maximum CO2 level for maximum plant growth, although any CO2 level between 1,000ppm and 1,500ppm will produce greatly improved results. Greenhouse CO2 levels are jacked up to enhance plant growth.

The average CO2 ppm level the last thousand up till 1841 years averaged approximately 280ppm. Since 1841 CO2 levels have increased to 422ppm in Jan. 2024. That helps plant growth.

Anything below 200ppm starves plant growth! Carbon dioxide is essential to the process of photosynthesis. Most plants grown indoors require a minimum CO2 concentration of 330 ppm to enable them to photosynthesise efficiently and produce energy in the form of carbohydrates. These concentrations of CO2 are enough for plants to grow and develop normally.
