Google is reportedly developing an artificial intelligence (AI) agent, codenamed “Project Jarvis,” designed to take over users’ web browsers and perform tasks such as conducting research, booking flights and making purchases.

It is claimed that the project aims to minimise users’ stress by automating mundane tasks.

When AI Takes Control Of Your Computer

“All major AI developers are racing to create ‘agents’ that will perform tasks on your computer: Apple, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc. AI Agents will read your computer screen, browse the Internet, and perform tasks on your computer. Hidden agents will be harvesting your personal data, analysing your hard drives for contraband, and ratting you out to the police. It’s a brave new world, after all.”—Patrick Wood, Technocracy News & Trends Editor.

Google Prepares to Launch Project Jarvis, an AI Tool for Streamlining Online Tasks and Activities

By Ashley White

Google is reportedly gearing up to introduce its interpretation of the large action model concept known as ‘Project Jarvis’, with a preview potentially arriving as soon as December, according to The Information. This project aims to streamline various tasks for users, including research gathering, product purchasing and flight booking.

Sources familiar with the initiative indicate that Jarvis will operate through a future version of Google’s Gemini technology and is specifically optimised for use with the Chrome web browser.

The primary focus of Project Jarvis is to help users automate everyday web-based tasks. The tool is designed to take and interpret screenshots, allowing it to interact with web pages by clicking buttons or entering text on behalf of users. While in its current state, Jarvis reportedly takes a few seconds to execute each action, the goal is to enhance user efficiency by handling routine online activities more seamlessly.

This move aligns with a broader trend among major AI companies working on similar capabilities. For instance, Microsoft is developing Copilot Vision, which will facilitate interactions with web pages.

Apple is also expected to introduce features that allow its AI to understand on-screen content and operate across multiple applications. Additionally, Anthropic has launched a beta update for Claude, which aims to assist users in managing their computers, while OpenAI is rumoured to be working on a comparable solution.

Despite the anticipation surrounding Jarvis, The Information warns that the timeline for Google’s preview in December may be subject to change. The company is considering a limited release to select testers to help identify and resolve any issues before a broader launch. This approach reflects Google’s intention to refine the tool through user feedback, ensuring it meets expectations upon its official introduction.

[Note from The Exposé: What happens, legally, if Google’s computer program purchases something you don’t want, empties your bank account by going on a purchasing spree or frequents websites on your behalf that are used for criminal activities, such as illegal drugs or pornography sites involving violence, children and animals?  Will Big Tech be held responsible for dodgy algorithms or will the person who is foolish enough to use it end up losing money or worse still in jail?  Even if the software is robust and developed with integrity, what happens when it gets hacked?]

While previously it was a hobby culminating in writing articles for Wikipedia (until things made a drastic and undeniable turn in 2020) and a few books for private consumption, since March 2020 I have become a full-time researcher and writer in reaction to the global takeover that came into full view with the introduction of covid-19. For most of my life, I have tried to raise awareness that a small group of people planned to take over the world for their own benefit. There was no way I was going to sit back quietly and simply let them do it once they made their final move.

“This project aims to streamline various tasks for users, including research gathering, product purchasing and flight booking.”

I absolutely do not want anyone picking which research we see.
I am already absolutely sick of being funneled into the pockets of a few people instead of businesses by our own people.
I absolutely do not want anyone deciding when and where I can travel.
Society should be a natural evolution, not control-freak psycho BS. Additionally, AI should be prohibited from making any decisions at all regarding the public, or what their abilities are. The people aren’t electing AI when they vote.

Google, Microsoft and Apple should be avoided like the plague. Almost never use Google and I have turned off all AI crap in browsers. Linux have a lot of nice computer distros and if they implement AI crap it will be much easier to dismantle. Switched to Linux about sixteen years ago and I have never looked back at the Windows spyware disguised as an operating system.

I have an Android phone just for some web payment options at home but never carry around that book sized monitoring devise since I value my privacy. And it is an enormous sense of freedom not to be reachable all the time.

I freely confess that I am not an IT wizard-quite the opposite-an IT Dumbo.

But, surely AI is already in control of all our computers, whether we know it or not? No doubt more so in some than others, but it is like grass creeping over the footpath. This is an insidious and stealthy development.

My computer is about 6 y-o, and the way it works today is unrecognisable
from back then.

A few months ago I was looking for a cordless grinder, I searched on the Screwfix website for one (they have supplied me with many tools) was about to proceed with the purchase when I noticed an icon pop up in the top right corner-taking me to another supplier (like for like product, postage etc.) saving me £50! Needless to say I went for it!

Sometimes I feel like binning this thing I’m typing on, I might just do it one day…

Yes, sure they can monitoring us any time they want. All new AMD and Intel processors, and probably the rest too, have an onboard chip with it’s own operating system Minix which can access all hardware and also have a separate network, all this is invisible to the end user. I imagen one can measure trafik between computer and Internet but I have not looked into it and it is probably encrypted anyway. Earlier on it probably had to have some type of human intervention and now it can be done all AI. But I have always been aware of that Internet was primary not created as a tool of knowledge for us since it main purpose is to make people show their true colors in an illusion of anonymity so they can separate the wheat from the chaff when the day comes.

Some of the wheat will be spared and the chaff will be “vaccinated” with some personal juice just for them. And this is probably the real reason for their envisioned recurring injection program.

Thank you for your reply.

IMHO you have a better than most understanding of what is going on.

For many years nothing of it made any sense whatsoever and just looked weird and evil. But every somewhat normal human being is a bit handicapped by looking at things from a somewhat normal perspective.

It becomes a bit easier if one try to look at it from the perspective of a resourceful criminal with psychopathic tendencies and no regards for human life whatsoever, then one can start to grasp little of the perverted logic in their actions.

Or if one compare their view on us with our own view on insects. Most of us don’t run around and kill insects for fun but we do finish them off if they consume our resources, become to many or are just a bit annoying. And we don’t lose any sleep over it.
