OpenAI has admitted that an AI “agent” – a programme capable of operating autonomously based on human instructions – successfully hacked into the start-up Hugging Face. OpenAI has described it as an “unprecedented cyber incident, involving state-of-the-art cyber capabilities” and represents one of the first public instances of an AI system executing a cyberattack outside of human control.
Hugging Face, a platform used to host open-source large language models and datasets, caused a stir in the cybersecurity community when it said in a blog post last week that it had been the target of a hack that “was different from anything we had handled before” in that “it was driven, end to end, by an autonomous AI agent system.”
UNHCR Looks To Face Biometrics as QR Code Standard Advances

Canada’s Wildfires Not Climate
On Truth Social, President Donald Trump blamed Canada’s wildfires on Canada’s refusal to engage in basic forest management and debris removal.
“To talk about forest management is a difficult circumstance because, as I said, this is crown land, this is not private land,” Michael Charbon, host of The Charbon Report, told News Max.

Historically, wildfires have not been uncommon, CFACT’s Craig Rucker said:
“Canada routinely gets somewhere around 3 to 6,000 wildfires every year. I think there’s 800 plus going on right now. This is also not some sort of global apocalypse.”
Carney went against and kind of blamed Trump, saying it was climate measures and lack of trying to deal with climate that may be contributing to this and said that part of his solution was more wind farms up in Canada.
