Protests against Hamas have erupted in Gaza, with Gazans taking to the streets in multiple locations, including Beit Lahia and Deir al-Balah, calling for an end to the war and the removal of Hamas from power.

In videos shared on social media, protestors can be heard chanting “Hamas out” and “Hamas terrorists.”

By protesting, Gazans have shown remarkable courage and bravery because Hamas is known for its brutal crackdowns to silence dissent.

Protests against Hamas are rare in the Gaza strip, The Telegraph reported. “The terror group has cracked down violently on demonstrations in the past, with Amnesty International reporting in 2019 that people had been beaten and detained arbitrarily over protests against the cost of living. It also said protesters had been subject to torture while in detention.”

However, Gazans have overcome their fear this week and protested against Hamas.

On Tuesday, TV host and author Brother Rachid tweeted a “Statement from the Families and Clans of the Southern Governorates, Gaza Strip” dated 25 March 2025.  The image of the statement is in Arabic.  Brother Rachid provided the following translation:

On the same day, soon-to-be MIT student Eyal Yakoby tweeted a video with the comment: “Palestinians have taken to the streets of Gaza protesting Hamas. The crowd chants, ‘Where is the press? Where are the journalists?’  They know that the ‘journalists’ in Gaza are all Hamas and that international media will ignore them.”

Egyptian award-winning writer and political analyst Dalia Ziada tweeted three videos of the protests in Gaza with the comment:

Below is the second of the three videos posted by Ziada.

Australian Drew Pavlou tweeted a video with the comment: “Amazing. Palestinians in Gaza chant ‘Al Jazeera Out’ and ‘Hamas Out’.  How many times have I been called a ‘Zionist pig’ etc for saying the exact same things that Palestinians in Gaza are now chanting in the streets.”

Brother Rachid tweeted a video with the comment: “Protests in Gaza are being ignored by the majority of news outlets because they don’t fit their narrative. In this video, protesters are chanting, ‘Hamas out for the sake of Allah!’”

David Quinn, a columnist for Mediahuis Ireland covering the Irish Independent and Sunday Independent, tweeted: “These are extremely brave people protesting openly against Hamas” and shared an article from Irish state broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (“RTÉ”) (see below).

Gazans Protest Against Hamas

The following is extracted from an article published by RTÉ on 26 March 2025.  [Square brackets] indicate edits done by us.

In northern Gaza yesterday [25 March], [Gazans] gathered for the biggest anti-Hamas rally since the start of the war, chanting “Hamas out” and “Hamas terrorists.”

Majdi, a protester who did not wish to give his full name, said the “people are tired.”

“If Hamas leaving power in Gaza is the solution, why doesn’t Hamas give up power to protect the people?”

Hamas seized power in Gaza in 2007 after winning [an election in Gaza] the year before. No vote has been held since.

Levels of discontent towards Hamas in Gaza are difficult to gauge, in part because of its intolerance for public expressions of dissent.

Fatah [ ] has called on Hamas to “step aside from governing” Gaza to safeguard the “existence” of Palestinians in the war-battered territory.

[Fatah is a Palestinian nationalist and social democratic political party. It is the largest faction of the confederated multi-party Palestine Liberation Organisation (“PLO”) and the second-largest party in the Palestinian Legislative Council (“PLC”). Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority, is the chairman of Fatah.]

While previously it was a hobby culminating in writing articles for Wikipedia (until things made a drastic and undeniable turn in 2020) and a few books for private consumption, since March 2020 I have become a full-time researcher and writer in reaction to the global takeover that came into full view with the introduction of covid-19. For most of my life, I have tried to raise awareness that a small group of people planned to take over the world for their own benefit. There was no way I was going to sit back quietly and simply let them do it once they made their final move.

So The Expose has turned into a Zionist shill. Get real. Hamas is one faction of a dozen in the Palestinian Resistance and they are the only chance Palestinians have to be free. Yes they are protesting in Gaza but Israeli translators are lying about what they are saying.
THEY ARE SAYING END THE WAR. THEY ARE CONDEMNING SHITRAEL FOR ITS COLONIAL OCCUPATION.

Wait a minute! Haven’t we been told by Western puppet politicians and MSM that everyone in Gaza is a terrorist? If there are/were in fact citizens independent of Hamas ideology living in Gaza, why has the U.S. and Israel been bombing the shit out of Gaza and killing EVERYONE?

Hegelian Dialectic. We know for a fact that Israel and the U.S. has historically financed (and probably created) Hamas (Netanyahu has been public about the important role Hamas plays in the Greater Israel Project). Just like Isis, Al Qaida, and probably all “terrorists” that MSM and Western politicians have propped up as the boogyman that the world needs to be saved from. October 7th was Israel’s 9-11.

These people can’t be trusted to be truthful on anything, these are the same people that cheered when HamAss attacked Israel and took hostages, this is probably a staged event maybe even by HamAss to turn the spotlight away from the war that they are losing. If that many people can protest then they also have the power to release the hostages plain and simple.
There are a lot of weapons in the Gaza strip , use them to force the release of the hostages and stop the theatrics
