Quebec, Canada, is working on a plan to tax its unvaccinated residents for failing to comply with getting the jab.
Premier Francois Legault announced the measures at a press conference on Tuesday, stating that the “vaccine is the key to fight the virus.”
“This is why we’re looking for a health contribution for adults who refuse to be vaccinated for non-medical reasons,” Legault added.
“I feel this discontent with regard to the unvaccinated minority which, all things considered, clogs our hospitals.”
Sharing his dislike of unvaccinated people, Legault said that the reason why the tax needs to be in place is that the unvaccinated account for 50 percent of those in intensive care, despite the minority only making up 10 percent of the state.
Figures suggest that out of 8 million people, only 800,000 people remain unvaccinated in Quebec.
The tax is due to be set to around C$100 (£58.50) which the premier has described as a “significant amount.” Currently, in the state, residents have been protesting the tyrannical covid restrictions, lockdowns, and discrimination against those who choose not to get the vaccine.
Whilst the tax is yet to be enforced, authorities in the state are still finalising the amount to be charged and are working on the legal details of imposing such fines. Legault added that those who cannot get vaccinated for medical reasons would be exempt from the charge.

OK, let’s fact check Premier Francois Legault:
CLAIM: “…the unvaccinated account for 50 percent of those in intensive care”
FACT*: The Quebec Health data at
?1642435544
claims, “% of unvaccinated individuals in intensive care – 42%” (translated from French). However, this 42% actually comprises “non vaccines ou 1ere dose < 14 jrs”, which means “not vaccinated or 1st dose < 14 days”. So the 42% of unvaccinated in ICU in Quebec includes those who have been vaccinated less than 14 days previously.
CLAIM: “…despite the minority (unvaccinated) only making up 10 percent of the state”
FACT*: The unvaccinated account for 15.6% of those in Quebec (source: shoving “Quebec Province vaccination rate” into Google)
*Note: the ‘FACTs’ might be corrupted figures too! 🙂
So he’s bent the numbers a bit there. Still, according to those figures, unvaccinated make up a higher percentage of those in ICU per capita.
Is the “health contribution ” a one off or a regular “contribution “?
Quebec is NOT a State, it’s a Province in Canada ! And so far, this tax wont be applied cause the people are angry about this non sense policy. I know this cause I live there !
