Mastercard recently launched a program for retailers to offer biometric payment methods, like facial recognition and fingerprint scanning. At the checkout, users will be forced to authenticate their payment by showing their face or the palm of their hand instead of being allowed to pay by card or with cash.
The program has already gone live in five St Marche grocery stores in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with more trials also planned for Asia and the Middle East. Mastercard says it plans to roll it out globally later this year.
The payments company wants to roll the programme out worldwide for small and large retailers. Ajay Bhalla, the president of cyber and intelligence at Mastercard, said: “The way we pay needs to keep pace with the way we live, work and do business, offering choice to consumers with the highest levels of security.
“Our goal with this new programme is to make shopping a great experience for consumers and merchants alike, providing the best of both security and convenience.
“All the research that we’ve done has told us that consumers love biometrics”.
Did Mastercard only conduct its market research in China? It certainly sounds like it.
The current spin being used to justify using the biometric payment system and forcing the public to live in a dystopian cashless society is that it will “lead to shorter queues, be more hygienic than tapping in a pin, and be less vulnerable to fraud”.
A spokesman for Mastercard said: “No more fumbling for your phone or hunting for your wallet when you have your hands full – the next generation of in-person payments will only need a quick smile or wave of your hand. The trusted technology that uses your face or fingerprint to unlock your phone can now be used to help consumers speed through the checkout. With Mastercard’s new Biometric Checkout Programme, all you will need is yourself.”
Mastercard cited a study that claims 74% of the global population has a “positive attitude” towards biometrics. That number is highly questionable, but are the 74% aware of the dangers of implementing this kind of technology?
All the systems of Digital ID and data-gathering are vulnerable to security breaches. The Equifax breach, for example, compromised an astonishing 145.5 million Social Security numbers. Because of the potential for cyber breaches, hacks in the future could even larger and put entire systems at risk.
The rise of artificial intelligence also means that, as data from Digital ID systems is gathered, algorithms are being built that may have a major impact on people. These systems, though, like the data itself, are neither transparent in operation nor clear even as to who or what is building them, and for what purposes.
It may be, in the future, that people will find they no longer have consumer options such as low-cost bank loans due to the decisions of algorithms whose workings are not transparent to the public.
The only way to stop the implementation of this Draconian system is to always pay with cash whilst the use of this new technology remains optional.

I don’t know about the UK, but the US Constitution delineates that only CONGRESS has the power to “coin money, regulate the value thereof” (Article 1, Section 8, clause 5). Although this has been usurped, illegally, our Constitution still states this is how it’s to work. In addition, each State can decide which types of exchange are “legal”. For instance, my State, Wyoming, allows the use of gold and silver. Therefore, Mastercard’s, or anyone else’s, “requiring” a certain type of payment is utterly illegal – although, now I’m wondering if the delineation of such in a contract or agreement would work… EFF.
But just look how peoples constitutional rights have been heavily violated all because of force feeding the Covid Clot Shots upon people & threatening their livelihoods if they do not accept the poison. Government themselves violated the Constitution and allowed Employers to do the same thing. This is why the US & Canadian Constitution is meaningless when not enough people stand up & make these corrupted politicians accountable.

There is no convenience when someone succeeds in outsmarting the technology and ripping off your money. Really — identity theft in the digital world is a given! Or changing the data and making the system deny you access. EVERY technology can be overcome eventually. And that is when the intent is benign. But this is NOT benign intent here. It will not work because in many cases a person who wants someone else to go and shop for them cannot be present at the till and does not want the amount of money appearing that they are dealing with on behalf of someone else to collect the goods in their own record as that may affect them for other incoming payments.Paid carers for instance. Friends doing another friends shop. There are circumstances in which to buy on behalf of someone else with your own bank cards upsets your own paperwork. I will not use such a supermarket as dictates the only form of payments. Additionally the card companies themselves once acquiring a vast monopoly such as this can then charge what they like for their “card services” which is likly what they have in mind. It is up to our political nominees to prevent this takeover by law

I dropped into a Chipotle restaurant yesterday. The people working there told me that the in-house serving tables were closed and they could only fill orders by using their digital phone app to order. I politely said “ok, thanks” and walked out. So did the 3 people behind me. I went to another restaurant a quarter mile away.
Point of story: I they don’t want my fiat currency in person, I’ll just go elsewhere. Same, same with the grocery stores.
So what will happen if fiat money is totally removed??? What will you do then?

I was at my insurance office the other day making some changes on my homeowner’s insurance and when it came time to pay, the agency representative said they cannot accept cash as payment. I said,
“Do you know what the law says about that?”
The representative said they didn’t know.
“If a government approved form of payment (cash in this case) is tendered and rejected, then there is nothing owed.”, I said.
The amount was a little over three hundred dollars ($300). The agency representative went back and talked to the agency principal. They talked back and forth a bit (I could see through the glass but couldn’t hear) and in a few minutes, the representative came back out and accepted my cash.
They know the law, but don’t expect us to know!
Ok, people. . . this is very simple.
In the United States of America, the currency laws state that if you offer an approved form of payment (cash) and it is rejected, there is nothing owed and you can walk out, freely, with the groceries or whatever. If they choose to reject a government approved payment method, they have broken the law unless they let you pay. Otherwise, walk on out with the stuff. Until the government actually bans the use of cash, the stores have no choice but to accept it (cash).
If the dems succeed in stealing elections, the next law they pass will ban the use of fiat currency and mandate bio-metrics. Will be interesting when all the criminal aliens with their food stamp cards are required to use facial recognition.
Of course voting will never be included in the bio-metric requirements. Racist you know.

I always remember when a major UK stationery retailer banned a critical satirical magazine. Customers were advised to fill their baskets and at the checkout, ask for the magazine and when told they no longer stock it, just dump the part processed basket and refuse to complete the sale & walk out.
It worked wonders and the retailer swallowed the pill and started re-stocking the mag.
Perhaps we, the people should start a similar trend.

One thing not mentioned in this piece is the fact that governments will use digital currency to control people. If a person publishes something that exposes some of the many corruptions of our illegitiamte governments, that person will soon find out that they have been cut off from food. No matter how much “money” they have in their digital wallet, the gov can cut you off in a NY minute in order to control and enslave you.
The only way to fight this is by going into these stores and loading up a shopping cart with lots of freezer and cooler items then checking out and offering cash. When they refuse it, walk out and let them put the stuff back. If this happens 10 times a day then they store might rethink their no cash policy.
