The authorities have started the propaganda for the justification of yet another lockdown by getting NHS bosses to warn us to think “really carefully” about the risk of social contact over the Christmas period.
The same authorities have already kindly given us permission to see our family over Christmas but we all know this will be used to justify another lockdown in the early part of 2021.
Chris Hopson, the head of NHS providers said, “I don’t want to be the Grinch who stole Christmas, I really don’t, but I think everybody needs to think really, really carefully what are they going to do over Christmas.
“It’s not, ‘is what we’re going to be doing sticking within the rules?’ It’s ‘how much risk are we going to cause to the people we interact with?'”
The rise in infections in the US after the Thanksgiving holiday was also highlighted by NHS Providers.
The NHS is worried about the potential pressure on hospital beds, and its ability to treat all the patients it needs to in December, January and February, Mr Hopson said.
“At the same time you’ve got rising infections in places like London, Essex, parts of Kent, parts of Lincolnshire,” he added.
NHS Providers also warned that relaxing Covid rules when they are reviewed in England could trigger a third wave of the virus during the busiest time of year for hospitals. They have sent a letter to the Prime Minister urging him to ‘exercise caution’
The NHS Bosses say Boris Johnson should move swathes of the country into Tier 3 restrictions as soon as possible and without any delay. This will result in even more pubs and restaurants being forced to close yet again in what is usually one of their busiest times of the year.
Chris Hopson continued scare mongering by saying, “Any extra social contact equals virus spread. We’ve got to keep going with these tough restrictions over winter, we cannot take risks.”
That simply isn’t true but millions of people will take his word for it, that by being sociable they are spreading a killer virus, a virus so deadly official figures show 80% of people who test positive have zero symptoms and only 0.2% die.
